Celebrate Orthodox New Year with a rollicking Balkan Brass party! We’re going to blow the roof off Drom Taberna to welcome the ’New Old Year’, with the epic energy of Nizo Alimov and his Guça Brass Band!

Trumpet virtuoso Nizo Alimov is a master of Balkan and Romani music, born and raised in Štip, Macedonia. He brings a wealth of experience and the true essence of Macedonian Brass and Turkish Romani styles. He moved to Toronto after years of performing and touring with Koçani Orkestar - the internationally-acclaimed Macedonian Roma Brass band. He's both an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and an enthusiastic and generous teacher of the traditions he was raised in.
